| Thutmosis III was the son of Hatshepsut. As he came to the throne as a young boy, Hatshepsut acted as his regent. She then declared herself pharaoh, and he did not come to the throne until her death. He was a renowned military commander, responsible for enlarging Egypt's empire. | ||||||
